Women Killed in 2004
1. March 10th: Rebeca Contreras, 23, mother of three - tortured, raped, and strangled.
2. March 13th: Cristina Escobar Gonzalez, 25 - beaten to death.
3. April 2nd: Veronica Ruiz, 32 - raped and brutally beaten, found face down in a puddle.
4. April 26th: Teresa Torbellin, 33 - beaten to death.
5. May 24th: Guadalupe Santos Gomez, 36 - found partially stripped, strangled, and dumped in the outskirts of town.
6. May 28th: Luisa Rocio Chavez Chavez, 14 - found partially clothed - raped and strangled.
7. July 7th: Lorenza Clara Mavie Torres, 26 - killed by boyfriend, then burned and buried.
8. July 26th: Alma Brisa Molina, 34 - found partially clad behind a shopping mall - raped and strangled.
9. August 7th: Unknown - badly decomposed, authorities estimate her body was exposed to the elements anywhere from four to twelve months.
10. August 15th: Lidia Elias Granados, 52 - strangled and dumped in a garbage can.
11. September 16th: Ana Maria Reyes Valverde, 35 - killed by boyfriend, who later committed suicide.
12. October 6th: Unknown, est. 25 - possibly raped and strangled.
13. October 23rd: Sandra Rios Salmon, 15 - autopsy showed that she had been raped, beaten to death, and her neck had been broken - found in a construction site
14. November 2nd: Martha Lizbeth Hernandez Moreno, 16 - raped and strangled - man arrested confessed, admitting cocaine use prior to
15. November 25th: Marta Cecilia Vazquez Jimenez - missing since July, found in a field
16. December 3rd: Cynthia Irasema Ramos, 21 - raped and strangled to death - was found on a sidewalk shortly after it happened.
17. December 9th: Flor Fabiola Ferrer Rivera, 20 - found in her apartment, stabbed and strangled - boyfriend was suspected.
