Women Killed in 2005
1. January 3rd: Josefina Contreras Solis - found in a dumpster, badly beaten and left for dead - she died at a hospital the following day.
2. January 11th: Claudia Guillen Hinojosa, 25 - pregnant, mother of two - was shot in front of her children - died on way to hospital, but doctors saved the baby - her boyfriend committed suicide the following day.
3. January 15th: Maria Liliana Acosta, 19 - shot in throat
4. January 24th: Alejandra Medrano Chavarria - strangled
5. February 9th: Manuela Cano Luna, 40 - shot to death while teaching an aerobics class.
6. March 12th: Patricia Montelongo de la O, 33 - stabbed multiple times, bound in a blanket, and left in a field - suspect fled to El Paso, but was deported to Mexico a few days later for prosecution
7. March 14th: Coral Arrieta Medina, 17 - raped and strangled - found in an area where eighteen other victims have been found
8. March 26th: Rocio Paola Marin, 19 - reported missing on March 18th - raped and tortured - stabbed 15 times in the back, stomach, and neck
9. May 4th: Tomasa Echeverria, 54 - bludgeoned to death by a hammer
10. May 5th: Maria Estrella Cuevas Cuevas, 20 - single mother of two - raped and stabbed to death
11. May 16th: Airis Estrella Enriquez, 7 - had been missing since May 2nd - brutally raped and killed - found in a cement-filled drum
12: May 16th: Anhai Orozco Lerman, 10 - raped and strangled in her home
13: May 23rd: Estela Berenice Gomez Amezquita, 19 - beaten and strangled to death by her husband
14: May 24th: Marta Alicia Meraz Ramirez, 40 - shot twice by gang members as she stood talking with a friend.
15. July 25th: Nohemi Diaz Moctezuma, 15 - shot to death
16. July 25th: Olga Brisa Acosta Diaz, 35 - knifed to death allegedly by boyfriend's teenage sons
17. August 4th: Unknown, estimated to be 26-28 - found shot to death
18. August 15th: Unknown - found dead in hotel room - had gone in with a masked man
19. August 15th: Adriana Iveth Gonzalez Zavala, 15 - found dead, with hands and feet bound - her cousin was murdered in 2001, and is still unsolved.
20. August 30th: Angelica Isabel Pedroza Hernandez, 23 - found on a dirt road outside of Juarez - sexually assaulted, strangled, and beaten to death
21. September 15th: Alma Delia Moreno Cadena, 41 - allegedly killed by two private security guards - daughter was killed the same day, in a different part of the city
22. September 15th: Diana Belem Ortega Moreno, 21 - allegedly killed by two private security guards - mother was killed the same day, in a different part of the city
23. September 16th: Alejandra Diaz Sanchez, 13 - found inside her home - raped and beheaded
24. September 27th: Unknown, between 40 and 50 years old - raped and beaten - found in a soccer field, close to the offices of the state prosecutor
25. September (Late): Unknown, 16 - found in the front seat of a car, showing signs of rape and strangulation
26. October 21st: Martha Granados Villegas, 37 - killed by her husband
27. November: Unknown, two months old - found sexually assaulted and murdered
28: December 21st: Unknown, about 35 - found dead, semi-naked, with a strap around her neck
29. December 24th: Claudia Flores Javier, 17 - found dead in her home - conflicting police reports, one says she isn't raped, another says she was raped by three men; hit repeatedly on the head with a blunt object, or shot to death
