Through the website, in which you could order tshirts, pins, stickers, etc., to the Chicken Soup for the Ears With Feet Soul books, to the Bay Area RAINN Event, I've met some truly inspiring, wonderful people that I'm still friends with to this day. And the memories - those I will always think fondly of.
Sadly, though, I am no longer able to run RAINN Showers. It's a plethora of personal reasons, but this doesn't mean at all that I don't fully support RAINN and the work that they do. As a survivor myself, I know how important it is to have someone be there for you, just to provide a caring shoulder or a heart to listen.
RAINN has come a long since I first heard of it, back in 1998. And that's all because of you folks. Via the internet, tv, word-of-mouth, they've helped thousands. And will continue to do so as they grow. I urge you to visit their website and help in any way that you can.
Above all, remember this: there's always hope. Even in the darkest cloud, there will be a sparkle of sunshine or starlight. Stay strong.
